Civility Training

The REAL Healthcare Reform

Civility Training Program

Are you ready to deliver a comprehensive civility training program within your workplace?

The Joint Commission recommends that all accredited healthcare organizations be responsible for handling and preventing incivility in the workplace.

  • Is your workplace doing enough to prevent incivility?
  • Do you have a clear policy in place that defines the problem and identifies the consequences?
  • Does your workplace have a civility training program in place?

If you answered “no” to any of these questions, then In the Know’s new Civility Training Program is for you!

WHAT IS CIVILITY TRAINING?

Civility training in the healthcare workplace is more than just a course in professional conduct, although, professional conduct is the goal! Civility training teaches:

  • Self-awareness
  • Personal and professional integrity
  • Communication skills
  • A sense of ownership in the workplace
  • Personal empowerment to solve problems with energy, creativity and enthusiasm

Civility training in healthcare settings has the potential to improve patient care, strengthen team relationships and create an atmosphere that energizes and inspires those who are in it. Healthcare professionals who embrace civility are less likely to quit or “job hop,” and are less likely to burn out, bully or “eat their young!”

WHAT MAKES THIS CIVILITY TRAINING PROGRAM UNIQUE?

This program is unique because it immerses learners in the material in a fun and engaging way. While this information is important and serious, that doesn’t mean you can’t have a little fun learning it!

We also believe there is no substitute for teaching this during a live class in a group setting. Other companies may offer civility training online, but it’s nearly impossible to get to the heart of the matter while sitting alone in front of a computer.  In the Know’s Civility Training Program is  interactive, people-oriented and requires real life practice of important social skills that are needed to fully embrace civility!

WHO IS THIS PROGRAM FOR?

This civility training program is written for all healthcare employees, clinical and non-clinical, and will benefit everyone in your organization.

      Hi, Dorothy,
Thanks so much for your many years of service to our 911 system! There are no special requirements to become a Civility Training instructor other than an interest in the subject. Generally, we sell our training materials to organizations who want to institute a civility training course in their workplace. We do not arrange the classes or conduct the training sessions.
Good luck in your future endeavors!
      Linda Leekley
